RE4 s.ucked after they ported it to the PS2. Dual analog sticks were not its deal.

The original one for the Gamecube was the absolute best of the entire series.. Then came Resident Evil Zero.

Halo is terrible...

And, I've never even heard of Chrono Trigger.

Chrono Trigger is one of the best RPGs that ever came out on Play Station, it was over shadowed by FF7 a lot because of...well I have no clue why. Chrono Cross(the next in the series) is funner to play for sure though.

Halo isn't terrible, it's just a decent FPS that xbox fanboys turned into a huge deal because the box had nothing else going for it. The second one was still just decent, just xbox dominates as far as online play goes, so that helped the kick. Fanboys succeeded. I'll play it, but i get bored in a second when i start pwning Connor with swords all over the place and he gets mad because i've only played it like 3 times and he used to live off of it.

Kinda the same thing happened to FF7, though...it just has such a huge following. Maybe it's because the surrounded Final Fantasies, before and after it, s.ucked. Badly. Play FF8, you'll hate it. When Squall is awesomer in Kingdom Hearts than his own game, you know something's wrong.



Still wouldn't be my list for best games ever...

Most people don't like RE4 but really like it for the cube.
Halo is just another first person shooter.
Not everyone was into games when PSX(I refuse to call it PS1, no matter what ) was still around

I'm a huge fan of the new game called Warhawk... On the PS3 it is absolutely amazing. Best online war type game I've ever played besides Metal Gear Solid Three: Subsistence.... Phantasy Star Online Episodes One And Two was so ill online too.

The best games ever would games that changed gaming a very large amount, not your favorites.

Yeah you'd have to go with the revolutionaries

i don't get it though. It's not online...because the cube didn't dig with that...so is it just an rpg then?

Did anyone play Einhander for the PS(X), the only "shooter" square ever released? If you look on eBay, it's expensive as hell now. That game was a good time. I guess the subject of this thread was misleading.. and untrue.

Actually, it was online.. And, the online was really fun, somehow... It's not like a traditional RPG...

I shoulda put The Warriors, that game is amazing, so was the movie, and I'm trying to get my hands on the book

Kingdom Hearts is my all-time favorite series (minus Chain of Memories). If you haven't played the second, you should wait until Q4 of this year, when the KH2 Final Mix is supposed to be out, with a bunch of extra material, and, as a super bonus, the entire Chain of Memories game revamped for the PS2, complete with voice overs and cut scenes and the whole shabang. An amazing games. Takes amazing from the first, and amplifies it, while fixing the minor camera quirks and making the Gummi Ship flights more intense and fulfilling. I still don't believe that any game has a better combat system than that series. Simple to intro, yet a complex depth. Love.

Melee is amazing. The whole Super Smash Bros. series redefined fighters, which no other has been able to mimic.

I preferred Red to Blue in the Pokemon, but pretty much the same amazing thing.

Never played Battlefield 2, but 1942 had the greatest PC online FPS multiplayer ever.

Never played the Xbox Gaiden. Heard it was mega hard. Also heard that Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening is even more difficult.

What is up?

There was a pretty hard to find network adapter for the cube that was about 30-50 bucks samething as the one for the ps2 just looked different.

Three favorite games for me would be NFS-Most Wanted, FF Tactics Advance, and the Tekken Series.

If the online play is no longer supported, does that mean it no longer exists? Or that it's just no longer updating and stuff

Aggressive Inline is still amazing.


I dig Final Fantasy XII. Being able to see the monsters is awesome...but I still think it feels like a turn based game.

I agree with Chrono Trigger...and not the Playstation version...the Super Nintendo version.

Metal Gear Solid. I think I played and beat that game 100+ times. Never got tired.

3rd is a tough one. Golden Eye was fun and opened up the whole multiplayer thing....Tetris is always fun. But I think I will go with Gran Turismo here.
