Did anyone play Einhander for the PS(X), the only "shooter" square ever released? If you look on eBay, it's expensive as hell now. That game was a good time. I guess the subject of this thread was misleading.. and untrue.
Here's some more favorites. See anything you like?
I have a very dysfunctional taste in VG's, as you can see.
Metal Gear 2 (PS2)
Battlefield 2 (PC)
Pokemon Blue (Game Boy)
Kingdom Hearts (PS2- wait, was the second one good?)
Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)
BattleTanx Global Assault (N64)
Ninja Gaiden (Xbox)
Advance Wars (GBA)
The Warriors (Xbox)
Kingdom Hearts is my all-time favorite series (minus Chain of Memories). If you haven't played the second, you should wait until Q4 of this year, when the KH2 Final Mix is supposed to be out, with a bunch of extra material, and, as a super bonus, the entire Chain of Memories game revamped for the PS2, complete with voice overs and cut scenes and the whole shabang. An amazing games. Takes amazing from the first, and amplifies it, while fixing the minor camera quirks and making the Gummi Ship flights more intense and fulfilling. I still don't believe that any game has a better combat system than that series. Simple to intro, yet a complex depth. Love.
Melee is amazing. The whole Super Smash Bros. series redefined fighters, which no other has been able to mimic.
I preferred Red to Blue in the Pokemon, but pretty much the same amazing thing.
Never played Battlefield 2, but 1942 had the greatest PC online FPS multiplayer ever.
Never played the Xbox Gaiden. Heard it was mega hard. Also heard that Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening is even more difficult.
And T...I swear Gamecube never went online...yet I'm reading these reviews that say the game did...Then i go to Nintendo's website and find this
As of April 2007, the three Nintendo GameCube games to feature online play, Sega's Phantasy Star Online series, are no longer being supported for online play. For any further inquiries, such as billing or account-related questions, please visit www.sega.com.
